The Cantonese Tua Pek Kong Temple at King Street was built in the mid 19th century, and renovated in 1909. Although a temple for the Cantonese and Hakkas to worship Tua Pek Kong, the Taoist god of prosperity, it was built in the Hokkien temple style.
