Gurney Plaza, touted as Penang's premier lifestyle mall, is a shopping malllocated at the famed Gurney Drive promenade in Georgetown, Penang, Malaysia. It is the second largest shopping mall in Penang after Queensbay Mall and by far the most classy. It was completed in 2001 by one of Southeast Asia's largest property company, CapitaLand. A seven-storey new wing facing Kelawei Road opened in November 2008. The extension added 150,000 sq ft (14,000 m2) of retail space to accommodate the expanded department store, 83 shoplots and 800 new parking bays.
