Peranakan Kamcheng – souvenir magnet

Hand-crafted and painted by Penang artisans, the exquisite fridge magnet depicts a significant piece of Nyonyaware collectible – the Kamcheng.

The covered jar, Kamcheng, which shares the same pronunciation as heartfelt goodwill in Peranakan Hokkien, is used as a container for tea or curry, particularly during auspicious occasions and over time the Nyonyaware has come to be associated with the sharing of goodwill and love.
